Introduction - Lather and Nothing Else - ISU #1

The short story that I chose to compare was, Lather and Nothing Else, by Hernando Tellez. The theme of this story is that, the roles we play in our lives determine our actions. Basically, what this means is that, who we are in our lives, predict our thoughts, actions, and words. This is evident in Lather and Nothing Else, because the two separate roles were identified, and they were carried on through the actions made. The Barber, had one role and one job to fulfill, which was to shave any customer that came through the door of his barber shop. Whereas Torres, was an executioner, had the role to kill the revolutionaries. They both stuck to their parts, and did not let it interfere between each other.
